Her treatment approach is biopsychosocial in nature and her background in psychophysiology allows for a thorough assessment to occur. Julie-Anne has 20 years experience treating a broad range of psychological conditions. Her treatment approach is biopsychosocial in nature and her background in psychophysiology allows for a thorough assessment to occur. She wants to understand her clients and work with them to develop goals and find solutions to their concerns.

She has a strong emphasis on unconditional self-acceptance and offers a warm, safe, non-judgemental environment for her clients. She has trained extensively in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) but uses many other therapeutic interventions to help her clients move forward. 

Julie-Anne has extensive experience working with people who have experienced or witnessed trauma from abuse, violence, war, torture, accidents or natural disasters. She is keen to develop her skills in EMDR to be able to offer another evidence-based therapy to her clients. 

Julie-Anne has been a provider for Medicare, DVA, TAC, WorkSafe and Victims of Crime for many years. She is a Fellow of the College of Clinical Psychologists and a member of the APS Military and Emergency Services Psychology Interest Group. She has also completed a Diploma of Public Safety (Emergency Management).
